How do TikTok agency invitations work?
Last updated:
Short answer
In a TikTok agency invitation, the creator gets their invitation code from Agency Center in the app, the agency uses that code to initiate the invitation, and the creator reads and accepts it to join the agency. The invitation is an offer; nothing binds the creator until they accept.

What are the steps?
TikTok's agency invite page describes three steps:
- The creator gets their invitation code from Agency Center in the TikTok app.
- The agency uses the code to initiate an invitation.
- The creator reads and accepts the invitation to join the agency.
Can an agency invite any creator?
No. A creator who is tied to another agency, outside the agency's region or not meeting eligibility requirements cannot be invited. The list is in which creators can an agency invite. Checking eligibility before the invite, and recording that check, is the agency's job.
What should a creator look out for?
Check that the agency name in the invitation matches the name the person you talked to gave you, and before accepting, ask what the agency offers and how leaving works. More in the agency invite guide.
