What is a TikTok multi-account violation?
Last updated:
Short answer
A multi-account violation is when an ineligible creator joins an agency with another TikTok account, or when a creator in one agency joins a second agency with another account. TikTok then treats the account that joined first as the main account, the later one as the side account, and the agency that took the side account as a poaching Creator Network.

What does the policy forbid?
TikTok's Creator Network multi-account policy treats two situations as violations:
- An ineligible creator using any other account to join any Creator Network.
- A creator in one Creator Network using another account to join a second one, or going LIVE regularly by opening or borrowing another account.
Which account counts as the main account?
Under the policy, TikTok determines the user of an account as the person who appears most in its recent LIVE and video content. Among the same creator's accounts, the one that joined the current Creator Network first is the main account, the later one the side account. In the policy's example, a creator joins Network A with account A, then Network B with account B; Network B is the poaching Creator Network.
What should an agency do?
When taking on a new creator, watch for a second account of a creator you know works with another agency, and record your check. The full list of ineligible creators is in this answer.
